Victoria Vanderlinden
"The Color Value Game"

Our June meeting was a busy one; starting off with our Annual General Meeting and the Election of a new Executive for the upcoming year.
Following this, Victoria Vanderlinden gave us an informative talk about the terminology used in describing color; a trunk show to demonstrate these terms; and also a game to test our new knowledge of "Value" in color theory.
Here are a few pictures of the quilts that Victoria brought to the meeting.

Martha Schellingerhoude
Master of Quilt as you go!

At our May 11th Meeting, we had a trunk show with the phenomenal quilter Martha Schellingerhoud.
It was amazing to see the huge quilts she had designed, and made completely on a domestic machine.
We were also fortunate to have her teach two workshops on Quilting in Sections.  This was an opportunity to learn three different methods of quilting on a domestic machine that she has invented.

Here is a selection of the quilts she showed us during the trunk show.
