In House Quilt Show
"Our Girls Have Style!"
The April meeting was all about quilts made by members.
The thirty quilts were divided into styles,
such as American Country, Modern or Photo Transfer.
A short commentary written by the quilter was out.
The response was very positive, and we will definitely consider doing this again.
A sampler in the American Country Style. |
This was made by Sandy White and is a picture of
her grand daughter. There must be 1000 pieces in this item!
Made by Ann Hedberg, this "One Block Wonder" was
so inspiring, we hope to have a class in this technique next year!
Another made by Ann Hedberg,
this was a Round Robin, done in Christmas Fabrics.
Made by Theresa McCaig for her husband,
this was a photo transfer quilt, of animals they have owned.
Made by Pat Kiteley, the circular parts were from
a Hey Day sale in Kemptville and are possibly from
the 1950's. The other colored fabric is 1930's reproductions.
Made by Sandy White,
this applique and kaleidoscope are a king size wonder!
Thanks to everyone who brought in quilts.
More will be featured soon.
